A big part of South Africa’s drive to attract foreign direct investment are the incentives that are offered in various spheres of business. These can be in the form of tax incentives, infrastructure and equipment incentives, lease or property development incentives, and many more.
There are numerous incentives available to qualifying investors and developers – often the problem is in making these known. MEGA, as well as offering incentives of its own to investors interested in doing business in or with Mpumalanga, is pleased to assist with applications for national incentives, as well as presenting a clear description of how to apply.
Essentially, investors are offered three incentive package offerings:
- From National Government, primarily through the Department of Trade and Industry, but also other national departments.
- From the Mpumalanga Provincial Government, which includes MEGA’s free consulting services.
- MEGA will assist in developing a tailor-made package of incentives for prospective investors, which could include favourable land and services deals.
